May (23) doesn’t stand a chance. She’s a fiercely outspoken feminist and anti-racist artist in a male white art world. So the establishment keeps the door shut. Then she meets radical performance artist Agnes (46), who promises to coach May to success. This confronts May with the dark side of her ambitions. And the boundaries between art and life become increasingly blurred.
Real Blood is a horror film about the art world. An international co-production, and the intended feature film debut of former artist Joeri Pruys. Part of the official selection for Frontières co-production market 2025 in Montreal.
